Michelle and Tom were married on one of those perfect spring days in April, and I was honored and excited to photograph their day. It felt like a hometown wedding getting to shoot at The Inn at Scituate Harbor, St. Anthony's in Cohasset, and the Barker Tavern in Scituate. Having gotten ready at the inn for my own wedding and celebrating our reception at the Barker, I was so excited to return as a wedding photographer and experience a beautiful Barker wedding from a new perspective. And St. Anthony's in Cohasset is a special parish as it is where my father's family grew up, where I was baptized and where my grandmother is still a parishioner.
The day began at the Inn at Scituate Harbor, which has amazing light and a really great suite for a bridal party getting ready. We took a few minutes to walk across the street to get a few groomsmen photos and family photos before heading to the church.
What I love about Scituate Harbor and the Barker Tavern is that there are so many scenic spots in one area for photos. I love the lighthouse, but it can be crowded and windy on a nice day, so we stuck to the harbor area for photos so they could get to the party and enjoy themselves!
I loved working with Michelle and Tom - they are so incredibly kind and welcoming. You spend a lot of tie around a couples closest family and friends on a wedding day, so it's always amazing when you click and feel more like a friend than someone there to work. Thank you, Martins, for such a beautiful day of love and celebration!
